Hi, all and Happy New Year! I am reaching out on behalf of the Tannery Bar at Claverham Village Hall. I am one of the new directors of the bar along with Kay Dowling and Jake Matthew and we are looking for some volunteer support with bookkeeping/accounting going forward.
We have been incredibly well supported to date by the wonderful Geoff and are looking for someone who is keen to support the local community by donating a couple of hours a month to support with the numbers side of running the bar. Key things will be; monthly invoices/receipts, the VAT returns and producing a monthly cashflow report.
Whether you are a seasoned pro looking to put some volunteer time in, or learning the ropes and need something simple to get some experience we are really open-minded to any support offered!
If you are interested to find out more please private message me! Thank you in advance! 😊 ...
North Somerset is back in Tier 3 but please remember that the Post Office is still at the hall on Monday and Wednesday mornings 9-12. This is deemed an essential service. Please lend them your support. ...

On behalf of John Williams (Chair of the village hall)
This year has been challenging but we’ve still managed to make big improvements to the hall, to only name a few we have,
Installed a ramp to give better access to the conservatory.
Upgraded the lighting in the skittle alley and added additional outdoor lights.
Had custom benches made to upgrade our outdoor facilities.
I personally would like to Thank you for your support over the last year while the hall was open and running, it’s been a tough year but we look forward to seeing and welcoming you back at the hall when we can.
Have a merry Christmas and stay safe
Kind Regards John ...
From 12.01am on Saturday 19th Dec, North Somerset will move into Tier 2. Whilst this is good news for many businesses, it unfortunately means that we are still unable to reopen the Tannery Bar as we do not have the facilities to serve meals.
For full details on what the new restrictions will be, please click on www.gov.uk/coronavirus
May we take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.
From Everyone at Claverham Village Hall and Tannery Bar ...
